Valley Crates and Engineering are experts in all aspects of structural steel, from manufacture to installation. We are a specialised structural steel fabricator and erection contractor to the industrial, commercial and residential construction industries. Earthquake Strengthening
The Christchurch earthquakes have changed the way older buildings are graded for their structural strength. Now, councils are more strictly enforcing the ever-tougher regulations to ensure they are safe for residential and commercial occupiers.
Our team has had a great deal of experience in this area, particularly in refurbishing older buildings and bringing them up to standard.
Examples of this include work we have completed at the Otago University Students’ Association, Knox College (pictured below) and the Marsh Study Centre.
